We had a wonderful Sunday lunch here with our friends from the Atlanta Chinese Christian Church. I have no idea of what they ordered for us - as they ordered it all in Chinese, but everything was delicious. Will be going back again.

My dad is from Sichuan, I've tried a lot of Sichuan restaurants, and have had a lot of authentic food when I go back to Sichuan to visit, so my expectations of Sichuan food is pretty high. With that being said, Lin's food is pretty good and authentic, the service is typical of a Chinese place, and I've generally enjoyed my meals there. I've never tried any of the American menu, so I can only speak from the perspective of the Chinese. It's been a while since I've actually dined in, so I can't comment on how the service has been lately, but from what I remember, my family and I would usually order in Chinese and the servers have that typical Chinese restaurant attitude: a bit rushed and snappy, willing to recommend dishes, and biased towards Chinese customers. One thing I would have to point out is to be careful with the rice. I've always thought that the rice at Lin's (complementary, by the way) was not the best, but on my last dine in experiences, I saw a server smell the rice bucket to check for freshness before serving it to another able. When my family wants to eat Lin's, we usually just order and take it back home to eat. If you're short on time for dinner, don't feel like cooking too much, or just craving Sichuan food, this is the best way to go. The one difference between dine in and out is that when you dine in, you get a complementary dish of pickled Chinese vegetables and peanuts as appetizers when you dine in. The stir-fried vegetables at Lin's is way to overpriced (about $14 an order if I remember correctly) and a bit too oiled down. Two dishes from Lin's, a quick homemade stir-fried veggie, and some rice is more than enough for dinner for three and lunch the next day.My number one recommendation is the wu geng chang wang. It's a delicious mix of pork blood and intestine with some tofu and other vegetables in a spicy sauce served above a flame to keep it hot. This is probably my favorite dish of all time. I order it at every Sichuan restaurant I go to and Lin's is definitely the best one. If you've never tried it before, don't let what's in it scare you - it's absolutely wonderful with just some white rice.Aside from the wu geng chang wang, the water boiled fish and yu xiang rou si (fish fragrant pork?) are also quite tasty. All in all, Lin's is a great place for some authentic, home-style Sichuan food. Just be careful of the rice.

I saw that this restaurant had really good reviews. I was very disappointed. The space is pretty small and very boring/didn't want to spend money on decorations/cheap.The service is...typical asian place. Slow and unfriendly. The servers/workers didn't even care that their cd was skipping (for about a good 5-7 minutes). What are they doing back there?! GRIDING BONE AND HIDING IT IN YOUR FOOD (explanation below). The food. We ordered the black bean noodles (jja jang myun), braised chicken (kkang poong gi), and jjam pong (no idea what this is called in English). I don't like jjam pong so I didn't try it. But the black bean noodles and braised chicken was the worst I've ever had. The waitress asked when we ordered if we wanted to have the chicken bone in or boneless. Other places I've had the braised chicken, the bone in made it easier to eat. One long bone that held the meat around it. No big deal. We kept the bone in. But when the chicken actually came out, the chicken had LITTLE TINY pieces of bone in the chicken/chicken batter. Uh...if this was my first time eating this dish, I would've been just like "oh. self reminder to take bone out next time" but this is NOT my first time. There shouldn't have been chewed up bone pieces and mixed in with my chicken. Why would ANYONE want pieces of bone to be in with their chicken? This doesn't make sense. Anyway, the chicken didn't taste so great either. More batter than meat, I didn't expect that from a high rated chinese restaurant, but I was proven wrong. The black bean noodle (at other places) usually comes out noodles and sauce separately. This place did not. No big deal, except I don't like smothering my noodles with that much sauce. It didn't even have the, small yet impressionable amount of, sliced cucumbers (I think there's another word for when they're in thin tiny slices but I don't know what it's called). Lastly, the kimchi tasted like crap. How dare you serve that to the public. But I gave them that one extra star (first star is for having food that wasn't delicious but at least it was edible) for the pickled radish dish. Mmmm.. I love those.I will not return and if I happen to get dragged there, I will just get full off of the pickled radish.

Lunch was great! Satisfying portions, good flavors, fresh ingredients. Of the several patrons dining while we were there, we were the ONLY caucasians which, I think, is a very good sign! We would definitely recommend this place and go there again without hesitation. Lunch combination deal is a good buy.

I'm going to be honest. It's hard to impress me with Chinese food when my mom makes the best Chinese/Taiwanese food. Ok, if her food's not the best, it's at least awesome. That being said, I don't go out for Chinese food often because a) I get the good stuff at home all the time, b) most restaurants use a TON of oil in their food, or c) who knows if that plate of napa cabbage or greens on the platter was ever properly washed. You've seen the reviews before and after me where everyone talks about what meat dishes to order. My experience at this place was a little different. Why? Because I went with a group of vegetarians. For a table of 7, we asked the waitress to ask the chef to prepare a dinner of vegetarian dishes. She asked how many different entrees and we decided 6 should be plenty. Here's what the chef churned out for us: stir-fried snow pea tips, braised tofu with various veggies, julienned celery and bean curd stirfry, fried eggplant with basil, stir-fried "kong-xin tsai" (translated to "empty heart vegetable" - it's kind of like spinach, but hard to find in GA) with bits of ginger and fermented tofu, and lastly stir-fried chinese okra (it's more like a squash with lots of liquid). It's great how the chef avoided onions, garlic and scallions which are often ingredients some vegetarians can't (for Buddhist purposes) or don't like to eat. However, as you can see from the list, there's a lot of stir-fried items. Everything is piping out so you can't tell how much oil you're consuming.A custom menu like this from the chef is about $70 before tip. Remember, this was for 6 dishes, so each dish is probably about $10. Would I come back? Maybe, if I had to. I appreciate how accommodating the chef was in providing us a bunch of tasty vegetarian options....even though I really wanted some fried chicken badly after that meal.

I visited this place around 8pm on a Saturday. The place was not too crowded and we were greeted warmly.Setting- not much to speak about really. If you come to Lin's then you are in search for great food. The tables seems really close together when sitting along the wall. So get a center table if you are able.Service- Very good. They are willing to explain the dishes and try to think along the lines of what you would like. Drink refills were very quick, but not too quick if you know what I mean.Food- Ask for the Chinese Menu right off the bat. They have an "American style menu" but it will leave you with just the regular options. We ordered the Firecracker beans, seafood hot pot and szechuan beef. All of them were great and rather large. i would recommend Lins to anyone looking to find a great meal at a very reasonable price.I will be going back and trying more exotic pots next time.

Probably gets an extra star bc I haven't had korean chinese food from a restaurant in about 3 months. Wasn't spectacular, but definitely hit the spot.Came here and shared a veggie jja-jjahng-myung and sweet & sour shrimp. One of the best combos since Guile's middle jump kick, middle low kick, followed by a flash kick (Street Fighter TWO).The noodles had plenty of sauce and veggies which is always a plus and the noodles were actually pretty good. The shrimps were a good size and cooked with lots of flavor. I'm a fan of this place and would come back again.I liked the fact that the place looked like a spot where people knew the food was good. Lots of asian people eating and talking and having fun... I was as well because of my company! Service was congenial and anticipated my needs well (finished my meal but wanted to continue talking so they didn't interrupt, the minute I wanted to leave they approached table with the check, etc.)dmo out.

I bet I've eaten in 500 different chinese restaurants in my life and Lin's is absolutely the best I have ever had. Family run, friendly service, and even home delivery (limited area, though). Wide variety in the menu and all of it is great! ...?
